They have hours of video evidence of them committing the crime they were charged with. This couldn't possibly be anything other than jury nullification.
Let's just look at the one charge of "possessing a firearm in a federal facility". They were shown in the news, on TV and the Internet at a federal facility and possessing firearms. They never denied that. And they were acquitted.
That can't be mere prosecutorial incompetence. But I am surprised that it is jury nullification as they did not seem to be well received in Oregon and even the people they were protesting for wanted them to go away.
Thats part of my point really. They didn't have the universal support for random jury nullification, so the failure would trace back to the prosecution at jury selection.
My cousin lives in the house that is cater-corner to the courthouse up there. She says they most definitely were not well-received. If she had been on the jury, there would be at least one guilty vote.
