The IRS is going to raise the penalty. Imagine that, corralling people to buy medical insurance from corporations. This is just a horrible, horrible law.
Levit's fix, as I read it, was to increase the penalty to encourage participation and up the subsidies. Unsustainable as costs are just going to continue to go up. If those Cadillac taxes kick in 2018, then you really could see people dropping insurance. People are being forced over the edge at all levels. Obamacare made a bad health system into an untenable one.
Young, healthy people (which the vast majority are) have never seen the need, esp when accident insurance is really cheap.
