Shrinking exports and America’s growing reliance on hydraulic fracturing and renewable energy have left coal producers in deep trouble. By Clifford Krauss.
I spent the last 20 years in Mining, and Mining related jobs, and coal has been in trouble for a long time. Many of the mine operators border on the criminal in the way they operate, but the simple fact is, we're moving away from coal, as the engine of power and industry, and I don't think that's something that's going to reverse anytime soon.
And that's a good thing. While I'm not on the bandwagon of "Ban Fossil Fuels Now!", there are no such things as "Clean" Fossil Fuels, and I know we can do better.
