Can civilisation reboot without fossil fuels?
It took a lot of fossil fuels to forge our industrial world. Now they're almost gone. Could we do it again without them?

I surely hope so, we have so much more potential so here is to hoping we don't screw up our chance.
They used to hunt whales for the oil to light lamps 200 years ago. Then it became not cost effective when oil was industrialized. Gasoline today is cheaper than Coke or sparkling water...Red Bull, $28 a gallon. Economics will drive the change, not altruism or even a sense of survival...after all, people still drink Coke and Red Bull!
Fossil fuels are not almost gone.
While true, it doesn't mean we should continue using them if there are other more environmentally friendly ways of powering this planet.
