Blocking brain protein could stop memory loss caused by ageing
Stopping a protein that builds up with age has been shown to aid memory and help mouse brains remain young. If true in humans, a drug could halt memory loss.

Solid read and interesting discovery. Another step forward for deciphering memory and memory degradation.
I'm curious to see how they plan on targeting B2M. I can't imagine that they can just do a system-wide target and that they have to do a cerebral-focus. Also, what about the mice who lack the gene? Someone else feel free to chime in, but surely the mice would gain some sort of complication in their immune system by losing B2M?
So true..And perhaps this might have other applications as well,such as memory loss from bran injury.
