Woman becomes first person to be jailed for 'trolling herself'
A woman is thought to have become the first person in Britain to be jailed for trolling herself. Michelle Chapman was given 20 months in prison after setting up fake Facebook profiles supposedly of her father and his wife to send hundreds of abusive messages to herself, before complaining to police.

Out of all the cases I read about trolling, this one takes the cake.

How is it that people can be so fucking stupid?
I think the stupidity in cases like this is progressive. At first its an idea of revenge, which can very quickly evolve into a series of dumb decisions and a skewed sense of reality. This woman needs a lot of help and counselling, she needs to shed that extremely bitter and vindictive side of her. Jail will only make it worse.
I agree about jail making it worse.
