Lundgren wanted to provide buyers of used computers a restore disc of Windows, so they wouldn't throw their computers away. Microsoft, and the government, objected.

I do sympathize with the guy but this is a huge lack of common sense. Why not just give the PCs away with Linux preinstalled and let people choose whether they want something else? This looks like he was seeking a confrontation with Microsoft on purpose just to make them look bad. They don’t need the help.
