After hurricane Florence,in New Bern,the floodgates opened from scammers,on average,eight a day. We never picked up unless it was someone we knew. But we got the IRS one left on the answering machine telling us if we did not call this number,we would be arrested. I played it for friends and we had a good laugh.

"We used to tell them that the police will go to their house and arrest them if they didn't pay!" he says.
