Most of them did. A lot of people where just looking for a reddit clone without all the amdin bs. And thats what voat gave them. Most of the people migrating to other sites( like me) where looking for a different experience all together, not just a clone of reddit. Also, if you haven't seen voat you wouldn't know but voat is a literal clone of reddit. It looks almost exactly the same.
