This is not really new. Media companies have been doing the same thing for decades. Or you thought that the information you got from the tv or the newspaper was truly unbiased and uncensored? The Internet is no different in that sense. If your information comes from a company, you're being biased toward that company's interests, no matter what medium the information comes through. Google, Facebook, Reddit, etc. are no different from CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc.
That's true. If you switch channels during the news, you will find they all have the same news,except for the human interest stories.
I no longer have a tv,but tend to get my news from AU and the BBC for the most part..And yeah,they also have their own agendas.
