Aren't genetically modified lifeforms just as invasive? I'm curious where this leads to. Probably another biotopical disaster.
They are,but arn't they just going to self destruct?
In theory, yes. But I am not convinced by any theory until proven right. One of the consequences, when pretty much all mosquitos are dead, is a decline in bird populations (lots of them eat insects), which has its' own effects.
