MLB sees increase in sponsor spending while NFL is trending negative
Coming off a successful postseason, Major League Baseball got some more good news. According to a new report, MLB saw a record in corporate sponsorship spending of $892 million, a jump of almost 8%. It comes after the 2016 World Series, which was the most-watched Fall Classic in 12 years, while this year’s World Series between the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers was the third most-watched since 2005.
