Leaked files show Facebook is in crisis mode over losing young people
Earlier this year, a researcher at Facebook shared some alarming statistics with colleagues. Teenage users of the Facebook app in the US had declined by 13 percent since 2019 and were projected to drop 45 percent over the next two years, driving an overall decline in daily users in the company’s most lucrative ad market. Young adults between the ages of 20 and 30 were expected to decline by 4 percent during the same timeframe.

Remember MySpace? I give it about five years (tops) and then Facebook is obsolete. :-) My guess is that they are going full force for their AR/VR project, perhaps for years already, and what we see now is what happens when nothing's maintained and crucial things are neglected. Which says something about moneyflows, also. If they want to invest way more in their new project, then you'd expect with such high profits, they could still pay for the current site. So, my question is: do they neglect their site on purpose and focus their "intellect" on the new project or are they running out of money?
