I don't know if this is such a great idea... I feel like it could be used to track people easier.
Yeah, that's my thought. There exists a number of programs that can not only recognize a face, but recognize brand names and logos. By using a selfie, you're giving them the data about your surroundings as well. Wearing a fallout shirt means more Zenimax spam.
I think this is going to go badly. Fingerprint scanners are one thing (which can be faked), but a selfie? That's gonna be so much easier to fake than a fingeprint
What happens if the lighting's not good? Or if you get new glasses, haircut or facial hair and your face isn't recognized anymore?
Yay for facial recognition databases.
