The Pokémon Company Celebrates 19-Year Anniversary
This year may be the year of Kirby according to the last Nintendo Direct, but I have an inkling which franchise will be in the spotlight next year. The Pokémon Company was founded on 23 April 1998, making this week its 19th anniversary. Contrary to popular belief, the Pokémon Company isn’t entirely owned by Nintendo – something that came to light when people realised Nintendo did not make, and made little money directly from insanely popular app Pokémon Go.
