Netflix will likely hit 70 million subscribers by the end of the year
After a monumental run that has seen stock prices nearly double in recent months to reach record highs, Netflix has begun to cool off a bit on Wall Street. Still, the innovative streaming service is bound for a strong close to 2015, predicted to end the year with nearly 70 million subscribers. According to a new report by Digital TV Research, Netflix is predicted to end 2015 with nearly 13 million additional subscribers after posting over 57 million subs in January.

And Netflix's explosive growth continues. Now if only the internet speeds across the country can improve more. I'm thankful that here, it is happening at a reasonable rate.
Makes sense. It's incredibly affordable. You can combine hulu + netflix + hbo for less than cable, and the only thing you'd really miss would be sports.
What amazes me about Netflix is that they've not only established themselves as the de facto provider of streaming entertainment, but they've also become synonymous with high-quality, must-watch television. (House of Cards, Orange Is the New Black, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Daredevil.) They're not quite at the HBO level yet, but they're definitely a strong second place in terms of quality providers.
