It's pointless drivel like this which helps Trump's cause. I like the Vox, I dislike both Trump and his crytpo-fascist agenda but goddammit - call a spade a spade.
5000 words to say exactly what Trump said: US invaded Iraq because White House administration at the time misled American public - Rumsfeld, Cheney, Powell, Bush all went on record more than a few times claiming Iraq was a threat to global security - and it was discovered that that was false.
Analysis of motivation of benevolence and thinly sliced ethical subtleties between "lying" and "misleading" do not warm the hearts of those who lost limbs and family members only to watch the region descend into chaos irrespective of those sacrifices.
