Super Mario 64 Voice Actor Settles Decades-Old Debate
In Nintendo's Super Mario franchise, the main character is usually pretty quiet, often communicating with shrugs or, at most, high-pitched expressions of surprise. But Mario does occasionally speak, and he's usually voiced by actor Charles Martinet. For the past two decades, one Mario soundbite has cased immense debate between Nintendo fans everywhere. No one's been able to precisely make out what the plumber says to Bowser after he defeats his rival in Super Mario 64.
