12 years ago my dad had quadruple bypass surgery. He's 85 today, still independent and doing well. After he recovered from surgery, the doctor informed him he had scar tissue on his heart that indicated he had two other mild heart attacks. He never knew it, but my dad was known to be oblivious to pain.
