China expressed anger on Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump signed into law measures to further bolster support for Taiwan and Tibet, which had been included in a $2.3 trillion pandemic aid and spending package. China has watched with growing alarm as the United States has stepped up its backing for Chinese-claimed Taiwan and its criticism of Beijing’s rule in remote Tibet, further straining a relationship under intense pressure over trade, human rights and other issues.

Meeting Dalai Lama major offence, China warns world leaders
China today warned that it would consider as a "major offence" if any country or foreign leader hosts or meets the Dalai Lama as it deems the Tibetan spiritual leader a "separatist" trying to split Tibet from it. China routinely protests world leaders meeting the Dalai Lama. It also makes it mandatory for all the foreign governments to recognise Tibet as part of China to have diplomatic relations with Beijing.

Tibet boy who set himself on fire to protest China's occupation dies
A Tibetan teenager in exile who set himself on fire in India to protest China's occupation of Tibet, died at 8.25 p.m on Thursday evening. Dorje Tsering, 16, who self-immolated in Dehradun on February 29, had told his parents he hoped to do something "for the cause of Tibet." After dousing himself in petrol and setting himself alight, Tsering called out for Tibet's complete independence before being engulfed in flames.
