Bob Burnquist's Floating Skate Ramp
Bob Burnquist is one of the most progressive skaters of all time. It's not just because of how he skates, but what he skates. Fullpipes, crazy Megaramps with hips, and, oh yeah, helicopters. Burnquist's latest invention is a floating miniramp in the middle of Lake Tahoe. Visit California recruited Burnquist to take on the project as part of its "Dream Big" campaign. It wasn't easy. Master rampbuilder Jeff King and his team spent 300 man hours and used 1,250 screws to create the 7,300-pound ramp.

We’ve waited with bated breath with teaser trailer after teaser trailer. And it’s time. The Lexus hoverboard floated in a short scene where it didn’t look quite real. Then it was seen oozing out enigmatic vapor with pro-skater Ross McGouran having a fangasm over the board’s alleged characteristics.

DIY: Electric Skateboard v2.0: The Ultimate Guide
Here's a DIY electric skateboard that is very easy and fun to ride! This project was based off our previous Instructable, the electric longboard. However, the electric longboard lacked some key features, like a built-in charging system, a proper on/off switch, and a Bluetooth smartphone controller. The electric longboard was also too large (the deck was 45" long!) and thus it could not be used as an every-day commuting device.
