ORAS Update Thread [Spoilers]

Information about Secret Bases has been announced. Players will be able to once again create and customize secret bases. One major feature is the ability to become "like a Gym Leader", and design teams that will be able to be challenged by other players. The specifics and limitations of this feature are currently unknown. The Secret Bases will also be QR Code compatible.

It has been confirmed that Prof. Birch will be running from a Poochyena, as in the original Ruby and Sapphire versions, rather than a Zigzagoon, as it was in Emerald.
Due to a recent CoroCoro scan, Mega Salamence has been confirmed. Here's what we know so far:
- Species: Dragon Pokémon
- Type: Dragon/Flying
- Ability: Aerilate
- Height: 1.8m
- Weight: 112.6kg
Stat Information:
Mega Salamence will get an increased Defense stat.

The Pikachu costumes, which were revealed in earlier scans, have now been shown to get a special move. Pikachu Rock Star will get Meteor Mash, Pikachu PhD. Electric Terrain, Pikachu Pop Star Draining Kiss, Pikachu Belle Icicle Crash, and Pikachu Libre gets Flying Press.
A Contest Idol named Lucia, owner of an Altaria, will give the Player clothes to wear for the contests.

A shiny Beldum with its Mega Stone will be distributed via event.
Mega Metagross has been announced, along with some information on its stats. Here's what we know so far:
- Species: Leg Pokémon
- Type: Steel/Psychic
- Ability: Tough Claws (Increases power of Physical attacks)
- Height: 8' 02"
- Weight: 2,078.7 lbs.
Stat Information:
Mega Metagross has received great increases to its speed stat, along with increases to the Attack, Special Attack, Defense, and Special Defense, making it well rounded in all stats. Stat specifics will be posted as we get them.

Mega Diancie has been announced, along with some information on its stats. Here's what we know so far:
- Species: Jewel Pokémon
- Type: Rock/Fairy
- Ability: Magic Bounce (Status moves or stat-lowering moves can be bounced back at the opponent)
- Height: 3' 07"
- Weight: 61.3 lbs.
Stat Information:
Mega Diancie receives a big boost to its Speed, as well as boosts to its Attack and Special Attack stats, while its Defense and Special Defense experience stat decreases. This Pokémon is specialized as a fast and hard hitter. Stat speifics will be added as we get them.

- Species: Rabbit Pokémon
- Type: Normal/Fighting
- Ability: Scrappy
- Height: 1.3m
- Weight: 28.3kg
Stat Information:
Mega Lopunny will receive a boosted Attack and Special Attack stat.

- Species: Humming Pokémon
- Type: Dragon/Fairy
- Ability: Pixelate
- Height: 1.5m
