I have just started to run a volunteer chapter for http://nanhikali.org/

I feel that of all the problems in the world, if we can choose to solve one, we should tackle girl education first. This will help raise literacy/education levels. It will help struggling economies. It will also, in a very organic way, improve the status of women in society. Since I'm originally from India, I zoomed in on this one project. They support the education of just over a 100,000 girls. If you become a donor, and sponsor a girl, they will send you a picture and report card of the girl you are helping.

Since this is not my job, just something I help, I focus on raising money. I'd love to learn more from others who are doing the same, and share whatever little learnings I've had so far
