A local rap artist’s accused killer is expected in court on Tuesday. Carlos Graham is already facing a second-degree murder charge in the death of Brandyn Dayne Foster. Foster had been an up and coming rap artist. In January of 2017, he vanished without a trace. One year later, his remains were discovered during a police search of this Catskill home. Sources close to the investigation tell WTEN-TV the house had been rented by Foster's neighbor Graham and his girlfriend Sade Knox.

Danish inventor Peter Madsen has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the murder of the Swedish journalist Kim Wall on his submarine. Madsen had planned to kill Ms Wall, 30, either by suffocating her or cutting her throat, the Copenhagen court heard. Her dismembered remains were found by Danish police at sea on 21 August last year, 11 days after she interviewed him on board his homemade vessel.

A wealthy antiques dealer accused of strangling his seven-year-old daughter with a dressing gown belt has pleaded guilty to murder. Robert Peters, 56, throttled his daughter Sophia while alone with her at his £1 million family home in Wimbledon, south west London, last November. Afterwards, he called 999 to report what he had done and the child was rushed to hospital but died the following day. He had initially admitted manslaughter but denied murder, saying he was depressed and hearing voices at the time.

A homeless man has been charged with murder after a "wonderful" father was fatally stabbed in the neck as his five-year-old daughter sat on his lap at a crowded restaurant. Anthony Mele, 35, was eating dinner with his wife and daughter at the beachside Aloha Steakhouse in Ventura, California, on Wednesday evening when he was allegedly attacked by Jamal Jackson. Latvian tourist Liga Skromane who went missing from an Ayurveda resort in Kerala was found dead on the banks of Karamana river today. The 33-year-old was undergoing treatment and vanished from the resort in Pothencode on March 14. According to P Praksh, Thiruvananthapuram city police commissioner, the beheaded and mutilated body of a foreigner woman was found on the riverbanks and police were yet to identify it.

Three men, including a former US soldier, were found guilty in a New York court Wednesday of taking tens of thousands of dollars to murder a woman in the Philippines in 2012. Speaking after the verdict, US Attorney Geoffrey Berman described the case in a statement as "horrifying," with details "usually seen in action movies." "(These men) conspired to end the lives of people overseas whom they had never met. Today a unanimous jury convicted them for their craven indifference to human life," he said.

An eight-year-old girl attending a wedding with her parents was raped and strangled in Uttar Pradesh last evening, in a horrific repeat of the Kathua gang-rape and killing that has left India struggling with rage and grief. A child was also raped and murdered in Gujarat's Surat. An 18-year-old from the village in Etah where the family was attending the wedding has been arrested. Shockingly, he was found lying drunk, right next to the child's body.

A nationwide manhunt is underway for a Minnesota woman accused of murdering her husband and then killing a Florida woman who resembled her in order to steal the woman's identity, authorities said. Lois Riess, a 56-year-old mother of three, was charged in the shooting death of Pamela Hutchinson, 59, on Monday after authorities found the victim dead in an area near Fort Myers Beach with multiple gunshot wounds.

The eight-year-old girl allegedly raped by six men, who had held her in captivity in a small village temple in Kathua district for a week in January, was kept sedated and sexually assaulted once again before she was bludgeoned to death, reveals the chargesheet in the case. The abduction, rape and killing of the Bakherwal girl was part of a carefully planned strategy to remove the minority nomadic community from the area, reveals the 15-page chargesheet filed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police's Crime Branch in the chief judicial magistrate's court here Monday.

More than three days of searching for 5-year-old Joe Clyde Daniels by hundreds of law enforcement officers and community volunteers ended in tragedy on Saturday when the boy’s father was arrested in his death. Joseph Ray Daniels confessed to killing his son and then hiding his body, investigators announced at a news conference Saturday. Daniels was charged with criminal homicide and is being held in the Dickson County jail on $1 million bond. Investigators are still searching for the boy’s remains.

A couple who allegedly killed a four-year-old boy to death for spilling his cereal, have been charged with his "senseless" murder.  Police accused the boy’s mother, Lisa Smith, 19, and her boyfriend Keiff King, 26, of repeatedly hitting Tahjir Smith in the head and torso at their home in Abington, Pennsylvania.  The pair admitted they used their hands to give Tahjir a “butt whooping”, investigators said. 

The lesbian couple who were tortured and killed last year were raped in front of each other, a court has heard. South African spouses Joey van Niekerk, 32, and Anisha van Niekerk, 30, were murdered last year after being tortured, prosecutors have said. The couple went missing on December 10, after leaving their home in Mooinooi for Joey’s father’s funeral.

An 85-year-old woman who as a child narrowly escaped France’s most notorious wartime roundup of Jews has been murdered in Paris, and the authorities are calling it a hate crime. The body of the woman, Mireille Knoll, was found on Friday in her apartment in the city’s working-class 11th Arrondissement. She had been stabbed to death, and her body was partly burned after her attackers apparently tried to set fire to the apartment.

In 1985, Vernon Madison murdered a police officer, Julius Schulte, in Mobile, Alabama. Madison was due to be executed by lethal injection in January this year, but was given a last-minute stay of execution. After several strokes, he suffers from dementia and memory impairment, and can no longer remember committing the crime.

A German male nurse serving a life term for killing six hospital patients with lethal drugs out of "boredom" will go on trial in October for another 97 murders, the court said Friday. The regional court in Oldenburg said in a statement that it would hear the proceedings against 41-year-old Niels Högel, accused of being the worst serial killer in German post-war history, which are expected to last until at least May.
