Capcom has shared their fiscal report for Q1 2018 and they consider it their most profitable quarter since they have begun tracking their quarterly result. In its recent Q1 fiscal year 2018 financial results, Capcom revealed that the game has sold 8.3 million units since launching for PS4 and Xbox One in January 2018.

Monster Hunter: World's 16GB Filesize Is Not Very Monstrous At All
Monster Hunter: World is coming out this month, and it was found out recently that the game will require 16GB of space for installation for PlayStation 4 at launch. [Thanks, Hachima and PlayStation Universe!] Of course, this is the amount of data on the base game only, and further storage will be required for Monster Hunter: World’s post-launch DLC, such as the first new free DLC monster, Deviljho. Perhaps the game will eventually morph into the Apex of storage guzzlers.
