The cold war between a startup and a soft-serve machine manufacturer is heating up, thanks to a newly released trove of internal emails.

McDonald's has been forced to stop selling milkshakes and bottled drinks at nearly 1,300 restaurants in the United Kingdom as Brexit-related staff shortages and supply chain delays caused by the pandemic continue to slam companies.

Dozens of Black former McDonald's franchise owners on Tuesday filed a federal lawsuit against the fast food giant for alleged racial discrimination, claiming the company denied them the same opportunities as white franchisees by steering them toward stores in low-income areas where insurance and security costs are higher and sales revenues are lower than average.

McDonald’s has pledged to remove plastic toys from its Happy Meals in an effort to protect the environment. The announcement of the measure comes following a highly-publicised petition led by two schoolgirls calling on the fast food chain to cut plastic from its Happy Meals, which are geared towards children and contain a small toy.

The MyMcD’s mobile app continues to plague some users who have had their payment methods compromised.
