Reddit Refugees - This is our Megathread to Introduce Ourselves and Discuss Some of Our Favorite Tribes

In the interest of not flooding the lounge with thousands of introductions and tribe promotions this megathread is being created to agglomerate all of that business into one place.

Enjoy yourselves, share your thoughts on the exodus, discuss new tribes, say hello and ask your questions!

Wow, I just joined and already it seems like a great community! Are there any good tribes for us drummers in the world?

I'm a drummer also and I just looked. /t/drum and /t/drumming are both unclaimed right now. You should create a drumming tribe!

Edit: I am the chief of /t/drumming now.

Hi. Just jumped over. Any good rollercoaster or theme park tribes?

From my quick searching around, it looks like you get the honor of creating those communities, make 'em good ones!

What are the best tribes for keeping up with gaming news? On reddit I always used /r/Games.

Right now /t/gaming is where it's at. It's still small enough to not suffer from the problems of /r/gaming, so the fragmentation hasn't happened yet. Either way, that's probably your best bet.

Got tired of reddit and all it's drama. I started /t/panthers today for anyhow who's a Carolina Panthers fan. Snapzu looks very promising.

I seek political asylum from the horrors I experienced at Reddit!

    Just kidding.

I'm new to this site, but so far everything is going great. I think I like this system better than Reddit, even, because you can see people profiles and they have avatars. It's more engaging and it makes posters seem more than their posts- it makes them individual, you know?

Is there any tribe where we can share and discuss unsolved cold cases/missing persons or mysteries in general? Possibly unexplained photos as well? If not, is there enough interest yet to create one?

Incentives to contribute really will make a difference. Currently floating in the Caribbean Sea and can kinda track my progress as a traveler with this site. It isn't massive yet so one can feel helpful. Hoping to be a part of a /t/sailing tribe.

    Any other Cattle Dog owners?

Hey there! I'm Erudito, I came from a previous (though much smaller) exodus from Reddit.

My two favourite tribes (which coincidentally I mod) are /t/satire and /t/improv

If any former redditors wanna help Mod follow and PM me. I'm looking for help! No previous experience required, cos I don't have much either! Check out both and see what you think.

It's really nice to have a more modern-looking and functional site - it's like Reddit had spent some of the $50 million they recently raised on improving the site, instead of... what exactly? does anyone know? Maybe they were planning to overhaul it and make it more like Facebook - that would certainly buy a lot of programmers...
