Just realized you can also see your downvote as well as upvote! I am loving this place!
Dont know why but I really missed seeing that feature on reddit and that along with not need RES has got me really enjoy the build of this site. Along with the theme and atmosphere I know Snapzu is now my homepage. Sorry about any negativity associated with my name earlier, I can unintentionally be a bit abrasive.

Downvotes here aren't used the same way as they are on reddit, where if someone disagrees, they'll downvote the other person. Here its more for topics posted in the wrong place, toxic members, or misinformation.
When someone you completely disagree with is brilliant about it, or even just keeping up their end of a really good conversation, you upvote them. If that seems wrong somehow, have better conversations until it starts to feel right upvoting people you disagree with.
I absolutely love that idea. It's less of an upvote of agreement, and more an upvote of respect. I hope that continues to last, as more of us redditors pour in.

To be fair though, that can potentially change as more of those same people continue to migrate over from reddit.
As great as the tendencies are here now, there's the potential it ends up getting misused in the same way that the down vote is used on reddit. I hope I'm wrong though.
