Hi, I'm New.

Found this site from a Reddit thread. I'm excited to have a profile picture.

Any suggestions on what to do and what not?

Hi New, I'm Lacquercritic. (Sorry, sorry.)

Well, my biggest suggestion is to put together a snap and really explore how much more in depth you can get with a snap. When you post a link you can add:

    - A short description of your link
    - A source (perhaps a link to a photographer's website? The original comic?)
    - Tags (this helps others find it during search and helps Snapzu display related snaps)
    - A category (Image, Current Events, Video, etc. to help users see what type of content they're looking at right away)
    - Modules - modules are amazing. You can add links, polls, image galleries, single images, text boxes, maps, etc. all in one post. It's a lot more like creating a blog entry. Tooting my own horn, here is an example of some fun I had making a big snap.

On top of that, when you're working on a snap, you can click "Finished" on the top right (beside "Published") and it'll save it to your drafts, work on it later, etc.

As well, you can post a single snap to 3-5 tribes simultaneously. This is great because it reduces the need to cross post. However, it's a good idea to check the rules of the tribe you're posting to and to do a quick search to see if someone else has posted the same content recently.

Lastly, contribute! Sites like reddit can often feel more consumption oriented given that it's so easy for your comments and posts to get zero attention. Here on Snapzu, contribution is important - it's pretty exciting to see a single upvote or a comment on a snap, and top snaps rarely get over 50 or 100 votes. In contrast, use your downvotes frugally - when you do feel you should downvote, you'll need to provide a reason as to why (spam, dead link, etc.)

    Hopefully some of that's useful.

This is very comprehensive. I shall need time to process it entirely. Thank you!
