A question about the top navigation bar

I've noticed on the top nav bar, the house icon (To the left of the user avatar icon) sometimes lights up a few different colors and I was just wondering if anybody could fill me in as to what the different colors are trying to notify me of? I suspect it has to do with the feed, but I'm not sure on the specifics.

    I've been wondering that as well. I think that the color corresponds to the latest new content in your feed; sometimes I see it lit up with a blue color and the latest thing in my feed will be a comment (which has a blue flair).

      Hey, that could be it for sure! Thanks for the insight, if I find out it's something to the contrary I'll let you know :)
