Just start typing away in the searchbar to find tribes about things that you like. If there's not a community already in existence for a certain thing, then you can always make your own.
After you have stuff you like popping up in your feed, be sure to find some users to follow. There are a few really big Snapzites who regularly post great content. Maybe in time, you could become one of those people!
And as a generic suggestion, you should probably check out /t/asksnapzu, as that's a good place for simple, general conversation.
