I'm a new user, but I don't care about the reddit drama. It would be really cool if Snapzu would allow to filter out certain topics.

I understand that some people are very frustrated about the latest reddit-drama, but at the moment this overshadows all other content on Snapzu.

I'd love to be able to filter all this stuff. Snapzu is kinda worthless as a reddit-alternative if all it talks about ist reddit.

EDIT: So far I have gotten tips on how to find good tribes -- but what would really interest me is a funktion to filter content within a trinbe.

Well, you can definitely filter out certain tribes. The vast majority of the reddit-reflection I've seen seems to be limited to /t/lounge, and even so, I imagine it'll die down soon enough.

While you're waiting for it to blow over, you could always try spending more time in individualized tribes and less on the front page?

Ok, silly question: are you a bot? I've been on Snapzu for only a few hours, but I've seen you quite a few times.

      I am genuinly conufsed.

Snapzu still has less than 20,000 users and of those, who knows how many are actually active. You've just run into someone that's a fairly active user that happens to frequent the same areas as you. Maybe you should be friends?

Yes, absolutly, but I'd I have a little trouble discovering new tribes at the moment. Could you maybe point me to some cool ones you like?

"Cool" really depends on your interests.

A good way to explore things related to your interests on Snapzu is to click the magnifying glass on the top bar. Then, you type in whatever keyword you want. The results will show:

        # Snaps | # Comments | # Tribes | # Users

Click on Tribes to sort by related tribes, then you'll find more like-minded individuals!

The search function works really well by the way.

I've been recomending hitting up the tribe index to subscribe to tribes that you find interesting and then look through snaps(posts) to see what tribes they've been submitted to (look at the right side of a snap).

No problem. The ability to post to multiple tribes makes tribe exploration much easier than other sites. You'll see an interesting post, notice that there's a tribe with content focused on that topic, and join up. Has happened to me a bunch of times already in my 2 day long membership.

Enjoy your stay and explore away!

How do you filter out tribes? I like browsing Newest to see what new tribes pop up and are being posted in, but I'm afraid I'm going to start running into NSFW posts with all those tribes popping up.

Easiest way is to select "my tribes" from the sidebar on the front page. But if you'd like to see things chronologically (and really there's little enough content that there's no reason not to do this), you can view tribe posts by going to your "home" tab and choosing "tribe feed." From there, you're able to change your settings to see what you want, and you can also block snaps that are posted in certain tribes (e.g. if something was in /t/pics as well as /t/porn and you blocked /t/porn, you wouldn't see the post). I'm not sure if there's a control panel for blocking invidual tribes, though, you may have to do that on a case-by-case basis
