Such a refreshing change of atmosphere!

Hello everyone!

I just want to start off by saying wow! Snapzu is such a nice breath of fresh air and a good change of pace from reddit and other social media sites. The content and discussion seems much more civilized and orderly and there seems to be a good community that enjoys contributing to the overall vibe here. It reminds me of reddit years ago when it wasn't as popular and more focused and educated and interesting disscusions rather than just memes and pun threads. I don't have to dig through mountains of comments to find a good debate here and I love it.

I look forward to being a part of the community and contributing to the positive atmosphere. Thank you for having me!

P.S. any one know if there is a mobile app for Snapzu on android or if one is in development?

    Hello and welcome!

P.S. any one know if there is a mobile app for Snapzu on android or if one is in development?

I believe there isn't one yet, as there isn't an API available so making one is rather difficult. The API should arrive this year though and I've already seen multiple parties interested in creating apps for Android, Windows Phone & iOS. So I'm sure once the API lands we'll quickly see apps become available! :)

I'm so, SO happy to be part of a community where memes, GIFs, and recycled one liners are not the norm.

They still don't have an API, so there is no legitimate app. There is one app for android but it's only an webview and has advertisements.

Also it cost money, DO not buy.

I feel like a broken record but I can't stop saying this same thing! This site is truly amazing and I think we need to keep a very sharp eye out to ensure it stays that way. It is our responsibility to promote civil, thoughtful, and interesting content whilst also down voting content that violates the terms of service.

I love the invite only system and hope it stays that way for the foreseeable future. If I had to decide between quantity vs quality I prefer to let the site grow more slowly and keep an more intelligent, more long form discussion format like snapzu appears to be now. You can rip through 100 reddit posts in 10 minutes most of the time because there is very little substance to the content. If snapzu can keep that more in depth feel it has now, I have a good feeling about the future of this site.

I agree. Snapzu so far has been wonderful, and the community is fantastic. Even on subjects that would be dismissed on Reddit are discussed warmly and openly, even when there is a disagreement. Very excited to see this place grow.

Yes it truely is. Last night I followed a link from here to Reddit and just could not stay. So many stupid one liners in the one thread I was linked to. As time has gone on,over the months, I've found myself spending less and less time on Reddit.
