Hi everyone!

Since the last Reddit debacle I've been looking for a place to call home. Somewhere a bit less micro-managed. This looks nice, although I still haven't understood how everything works.

I'm here for the same! It's a little different and kind of tough to find tribes off the beaten path, but I'm catching on.

Hi! I'm here for the same reasons. Although I'm still going on Reddit to see some trending pics and gifs, I am happy to come here to discuss with other people. Really enjoying it so far, hope you are too :)

Welcome, and as with anything a little different it can take time to find your way around. But everyone is friendly so just ask. I to escaped Reddit two days ago and the community here whilst smaller is wonderful.

I think that part of what makes the community wonderful is the fact that it's small

One could say the worst thing that happened to Reddit (and Digg, and innumerable other sites) is that they got big.

Indeed. That's why I think the invite system here is a great idea. It still allows growth, but at a more manageable pace, and we may never grow as large as those sites (which is not a bad thing).
