Greetings, snaplings!
At first, I was rather turned off by the excessive graphics on this site, as opposed to the more bare-bones, minimalist approach usually done. However, I was looking for an alternative, and people kept talking this site up. I decided I really like some aspects of the layout and I especially like that you get to have an avatar! I was a little disgruntled when I found out I needed an invite code, but I was able to find a working one after 5 or 6 tries.
Oh, yeah, I'm a web developer who spends most of his free time online, in case anybody cares. The other site I was using had gotten stale, and due to some recent upheavals over there users are jumping ship to other sites, so I thought now was a good time to check out the competition. Here's hoping for a more bullshit-free experience!

Something we can all agree on! Seeing as you're a web developer, here are a few tribes to help get you started:

Thanks! Already subscribed to most of those, though, because I selected the "technology" track when I signed up. I have to admit that Snapzu sure seems on point about community-building so far.
It seems like the community (tribe) count has almost doubled since this morning. Glad to see that it's gaining some traction, and I hope it can continue.
I'm a graphic/web designer, and although it took some getting used to, the UI is pretty great for a community based website. Now only if they had an app...
