Who have you invited to Snapzu/ who invited you? How do you decide to invite someone?

I feel a bit shameful to say that I found my invite code by digging through a thread on Reddit, in /r/redditalternatives. I haven't invited anyone yet. I asked one friend if he would like an invite, but he only browses on mobile, so he wouldn't use Snapzu. I have another friend I might ask. I see that quite a few people have been posting their invite codes online, presumably in a similar situation to me. I think this is a reckless thing to do, since it negates the ability to control who is invited and uses this website, defeating the purpose. What are your thoughts on invites and how they should be given out/how you decide to give them out?

I ended up going to /r/snapzuinvites. Then when I got my codes I turned around and post them there. I know it doesn't screen people but I wanted to give back because someone was nice enough to have a code for me. Been really liking it here over the last couple of days.

I put a ton of invites on redditalternatives, but then I decided to instead have people PM me so I could kinda look over if they submit/participate before inviting, which has worked out pretty well. I pop on reddit every few days to see if I have PM's requesting invites.

    I was invited by Reidoon!

I have put out a large quantity of invites on /r/redditalternatives and /r/snapzuinvites. I have also invited one personal friend, /u/KingAztek. I'm currently trying to think of ways to invite people from places besides reddit.

I wasn't actually invited by anybody. I found this site on an askreddit thread in early 2014 and requested an invite.

      Thank you for that :)

I'm very targeted in my invites, I invite to grow an abandonned tribe I petitioned to reclaim with people from a subreddit I mod that would thrive on snapzu while avoiding the people that would fare better on voat.

My invitees do pretty much the same.

So you look for people with interests that coincide with your tribe? May I ask what tribe?

Oh that's funny, a few of my friends just went up to Quebec a few weeks ago!

From where? How did they like it?

Well, I try not to give my exact location out on the internet, but somewhere in New England. They really liked it! I wish I could have gone with them but there wasn't any room in the car, and my parents wouldn't let me go. They had some really interesting run ins because only one of them knew French, and his was extremely rusty. They told me they saw first-hand how polite Canadians really are, and were impressed.

              @hingeattack -

Most of us don't consider ourselves Canadians. And we love US tourists, they're really friendly and polite. They almost always start their first sentences with "sorry". :)

I was invited by my brother who is a nerd and loves all of this stuff! I know he invited me because he thought I could contribute a lot to the community! Thats what would make me invite someone, knowing they will contribute to the cite and they generally kind population.

I'm a moderator for a TF2 community and one of the admins there posted codes for here.

I'm going to save one for my brother if he wants it; otherwise I'm giving them away in the same manner.

I gave away my three codes on reddit and I've got another sitting in my inbox. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it, probably go back to reddit and give it away there at some point.

I haven't used my invites yet. I've been saving them for my real life friends, so that I can trick them into getting on here.

I've given two of mine to IRL friends and one is a redditer who I dont think will move and the other doesn't know how to use the site yet so hopefully I'll be able to teach him and he start to participate
