Soooo - no API yet? Can I contribute?

I've noticed there's a lack of an API for Snapzu (publicly at least) and I'd love to help contribute to build something like this.

It would REALLY help drive some really cool user-built features (think the RemindMe bot on Reddit). Is Snapzu open source and available for external collaboration?
