Flooded by Florance
We evacuated to Wythville VA with five cats and a rabbit..One house mate,who works at the hospital ,drew the short straw and had to stay behind...My friend. who went with me ,became so depressed he could not function so went to the er,the meds he got did not work and he went back to the er for other meds.. We were flooded and the other housemate did her best to put out 3 apartments in order before our return. We got back Sunday and have spent a week with power but no Internet and the curbside pile of soggy stuff has just got bigger and bigger and we are not done yet! The Red Cross van comes by three times a day providing food and water for people and I never thought I'd see them in my neighborhood. No one used to know where New Bern NC was...Now everybody knows..Watching the whole storm unfold on the weather channel from a hotel room in VA was quite intense...Anyway,today we got Internet and things are starting to look almost normal.

Yikes! Disastrophe and evacuation are hard enough. Let alone setting out to find shelter with your furmily along as well! Happy recovery, and lots of Odoban to you!
Wow Gozzin, I'm glad you are safe, but sad to hear the whole sad tale. It must be heartwrenching. I hope you get through this as quickly as possible.
Why thank you Appaloosa . Most of the house is normal now, but the kitchen and porch needs work.

I'm better. I'm being bounced between kin like a ping pong ball..I may be able to move into my deceased aunt's house this weekend.
That's living rough. Its been a long time, but glad to see you have a support system.
As you go through this, none of us have gone through this.
