The Rings of Power’s Charlie Vickers on walking into Mordor
To no fault of actor Charlie Vickers — or maybe to great praise — we knew something was up with Halbrand the minute he picked Galadriel up in the Sundering Seas early on in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Through eight episodes, the reluctant king of the Southlands was always a little out of place among the epic ebb and flow of Middle-earth drama. Turns out, he had a big secret.

Yes, Rings of Power Feels Like a Billion Bucks, but What Does That Really Mean for Amazon?
Maybe all the effort, teamwork, and passion will come together to create a powerful show that can rule them all. Or maybe The Rings of Power is destined to be lost to time at the bottom of a river with all the other content that didn’t survive the Streaming Wars.

CHRISTOPHER STEVENS reviews The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power
Turkey is not the word. No turkey, however bloated and stupid, could ever be big enough to convey the mesmerising awfulness of Amazon's billion dollar Tolkien epic. The Daily Mail has deleted this review. Pressure from Amazon?

The Rings of Power’s ‘Adar’ gets closer to the ideal Lord of the Rings show
It's fair to say the first two episodes of Amazon Studios’ The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power left me underwhelmed. The approach J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay took to adapting J.R.R. Tolkien’s world in “A Shadow of the Past” and “Adrift” struck me as paradoxically over- and undercooked, with too many plot threads and too few new ideas. Where was the clearly defined quest set against a lived-in world brimming with unexplored new vistas that defined Tolkien’s own work? Waiting just around the corner in the Prime Video series’ third episode, “Adar,” as it turns out.
