Julia Kebbel was last seen Wednesday night while walking her dog in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. Actress Arielle Kebbel is asking for help to find her missing sister, Julia. In an Instagram post Saturday, Kebbel, whose résumé includes roles on Lifetime's Unreal and in the upcoming film Fifty Shades Freed, sent out an alert that Julia had gone missing in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. She was last seen Wednesday night, around 11 p.m., walking her chocolate lab, Cindy.

Nine people are reported to have been transported by ambulance following a machete attack by a man in a gas mask in the Canoga Park area of Los Angeles Saturday night. FOX LA reporter Bill Melugin reports that the call came over the radio as a "shots fired" "officer needs help" call. The suspect was transported by ambulance, and it's not confirmed that he was shot by an officer.

Los Angeles is considering employing homeless people to clean litter and trash from streets, sidewalks and alleys. According to the City Council motion that would create a pilot program, the city receives an average of 200 requests per day through its 311 mobile app and website regarding dumping, debris and other trash-related nuisances, and trash also is consistently one of the three top reported issues to 311.

Despite clear risks, Santa Rosa neighborhood that burned down was exempt from fire regulations
Coffey Park was built on city streets, not forested country lanes. The Santa Rosa suburb was a planned development laid out on a typical grid with sidewalks and landscaped yards. The fire hazard zone shown on city and state maps was to the north and east, on the other side of the 101 Freeway. Yet when the Tubbs fire swept down the mountain, Coffey Park proved defenseless in its path. In a matter of hours, the neighborhood was almost totally consumed, leaving hundreds of houses burned to the ground and residents in disbelief.

101 People in LA Area Arrested During Nationwide ICE Sweep
About 100 people were arrested in the Los Angeles area during a four-day nationwide immigration sweep targeting so-called sanctuary jurisdictions, federal authorities announced Thursday. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said "Operation Safe City," which ended Wednesday, targeted people who have "violated U.S. immigration laws, prioritizing aliens with criminal convictions, pending criminal charges, known gang members and affiliates, immigration fugitives and those who re-entered the U.S. after deportation."

Student Cleared Of Rape Charges After Video Shows His Accuser Making Sexual Gestures At Him (WATCH)
A student at the University of Southern California (USC) has been cleared of rape charges after the release of security camera footage showing his alleged victim leading him to her dorm room and making sexually suggestive gestures. Arman Premjee, 20, was accused by an unnamed female USC student of raping her in her dorm on April 1. Premjee met the unidentified 19-year-old at Banditos Taco & Tequila in Los Angeles earlier that same night.
