[Features] NSFW tribes

Hi there,

i want to force all posts in my tribe NSFW by default. As far as i know that is not possible so far.

This is obviously pretty useful to avoid people forgetting adding the NSFW tag in a tribe where 99% of the content is NSFW anyway.

I would also expect, that as soon as you create a snap and add a NSFW tribe the snap is auto NSFW.

This would in the end make the SFW area safer as well, cause less people will forget adding that tag.

Thanks, and let me know what you think.

I want to be able to browse Snapzu safely from work without even thinking about running into NSFW content. Whatever the team decides on doing, I hope they can think of this use-case first and foremost.

Adding a NSFW tag should be a clear indication to not click it. If you're still worried. Maybe we could make NSFW links/discussions to be red.

Nice idea, I've noticed a few 'suggestions' after clicking on a picture being some 'gonewild' material. Looked like I was browsing pornhub for just that one image that wasn't even NSFW.

this is a good idea. we all know the key to a website's survival is to be able to link nsfw content lol

A somewhat related request would be site-wide spoiler tags.

No really related you should make an extra suggestion thread for that i guess.

It's related because people ended up using the NSFW tag on Reddit as a spoiler tag before real ones started showing up through custom CSS.

Oh i see, well that's not how it should work then.

Well i am fine with posting it here but i think it's better to have a separated snap to be able to vote on it. Anyway, it's up to you.

    A few extra suggestions.

Anyone that mentions a tribe that is NSFW in a comment like say /t/nsfw - Snapzu automatically links that tribe. Having a small icon for NSFW before the link if the Tribe has been designated so would help for those randomly clicking on Tribe links without any clue what the tribe is about.

If a Snap is added as a Related Link to another Snap and it's NSFW, please add a NSFW icon next to the related link (probably already happens, I just haven't see it yet).

This is a great idea! I think that when you are creating the tribe, it should have a little checkbox next to it saying in red text "NSFW" and you can check it or not check it

So, I was kind of wondering. What exactly does marking something NSFW do? The thumbnail doesn't seem to change or be blocked. The post doesn't seem to say it's NSFW when I'm looking at them. If I go to a NSFW sub, all of the posts look normal to me. So, what does it do exactly?

Well Snapzu doesn't seem to have much NSFW work content, so it wouldn't do much to begin with.

But in theory (at least to me), you could filter out NSFW content from your front page or have a SFW mode. (Or the opposite. ;) )

Also, another possibility is that you would have to be logged in to see any NSFW posts, making the site clean to any curious onlookers.
