Can we have a better resolution for our banners?
Love the site but as I finally hit lv 5 and tried to create a custom banner, I couldn't help but notice the horrible artifacts on any image I submitted! 1680x153 is awfully small to begin with and it seems the site compresses or otherwise messes with the image even more after you upload it!
I know you're probably more worried about servers and managing the load of new users like myself, but when things die down I think it would go a long way to up this. Thanks!

Definitely agree. Ran into this problem when I uploaded a tribe banner and image that had a gradient. You can see it at /t/casualconversation. It would make the tribes better if pixel artifacting wasn't an issue.
That's pretty funny, I noticed this from trying to have a similar gradient over at /t/futurebass. Your's still turned out good at least! I opted to just stick with a solid color from the generated background tool for now.
Oh yeah, I can sort of see it. Especially on the tribe image. I think the only thing that made it worse was having those vector people in there. I tried saving from photoshop as both a .png-24 and as a .jpeg. With 0 compression, the jpeg uploaded a bit better than the .png.
That makes sense since it must be converting it to jpg anyways. thanks for the tip!
