I strongly support this, privacy is important. Perhaps Snapzu could have HTTPS enabled by default?

HTTPS by default would be strongly preferable, however the option of at least turning it on would be a good start. It would be good to have this support before the API lands, so we don't have to deal with broken clients that don't support accessing the API over HTTPS.

Just in case you weren't aware, HTTPS everywhere exists

    This. Please, make it happen.

Encryption is nowadays a very important "feature". So please enable it!

This would be really great. Nowadays, I really don't feel comfortable communicating over non-encrypted channels.

Applied Crypto Hardening has a nice PDF with suggested configurations for all kinds of servers, btw!

Came here looking for this. This needs to happen. I have friends who wouldn't even consider a site like this without https support.
