What is a good way to get my leaguemates excited for the fantasy season?
I'm about to start running a fantasy league with my friends whom I just graduated with. What are some ideas so I can make the draft a lot more exciting and fun for everyone?

I've never been in a league with a fee (only my second year), but I'm really considering it because I think it would make the league way more active. Even if its like a 5 or 10 dollar fee. Or you could get a trophy and put the season champs name on it like the Stanley Cup or like in "the league" tv show. Just having that tangible thing to work towards and get as a reward for all your hard work would make a league more active, hence more fun. Also trash talking, in a tasteful way of course.
I like the trophy idea. Any ideas on what can be on it?
I would definitely make a small amount of money involved as it seems to make the game a little more serious. I've never personally played in a league with a fee of over $30. Nothing too big, but that will help. It's also nice to have a draft party, where, if possible, all the people in the league show up and draft together. It can be quite a bit of fun! Maybe have some beers and whatnot. As Ajwerth said, some nice trash talking never hurts. Good luck this year!
Yeah, getting everyone together is always a challenge, since a lot of us are going on vacations at this time of year. But I completely agree with you. A great draft day party will definitely spark some excitement for the season.
