Lost ability to send documents in Messenger

Has anyone else suddenly lost the ability/option to send text documents in Messenger? The first of the seven icons (add gif, sticker, emoi, etc) used to be "add photos or documents." Now I just have add photos. B.T.W, I use Messenger on my laptop (not my phone), which has Windows Seven. I have tried it in Firefox, Chrome, and Opera browsers, all with the same result.
