Major vulnerability found Electronic Arts gaming client
Check Point Research and CyberInt have identified a chain of vulnerabilities in the Origin gaming client developed by Electronic Arts (EA). Once exploited, the vulnerabilities would have led to player account takeover and identity theft. EA is the world’s second-largest gaming company and boasts household gaming titles such as FIFA, Madden NFL, NBA Live, UFC, The Sims, Battlefield, Command and Conquer and Medal of Honor in its portfolio.

EA to reveal new Need for Speed at Gamescom
Electronic Arts has confirmed it’s gearing up to reveal the next entry in the Need for Speed series. The unnamed series instalment is due for release at the end of the calendar year, with EA stating in May that it will “revitalise the street racing versus cops fantasy at the core of the franchise”.

EA is releasing the source code for two classic Command and Conquer games
EA plans to release the source code for its classic real-time strategy games Command and Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command and Conquer: Red Alert, the studio announced today. The source code for the two games is scheduled to be available alongside the release of Command and Conquer Remastered Collection, which includes remastered versions of both titles and their expansions, on June 5th.
