Studies show that men are much more open to dating someone outside of their height requirements than women are. "Twenty-three percent of men but only four percent of women said they were open to a relationship in which the woman was taller," a Huffington Post article explained.

Men seeking long-term mates are more likely to display photos of children and pets in dating profiles
A new study published in Evolutionary Psychological Science found that men seeking long-term partners displayed children, dogs, or other pets (known as “dependents”) in their online dating profiles more so than men seeking short-term mates. There were no differences in frequency of displayed dependents between men and women seeking long-term partners.

An analysis of 308 dating profiles revealed that people who show originality in their bios are seen as more intelligent and more funny, and in turn, more attractive. Original profile bios tended to contain more self-disclosure and more stylistic features like metaphors. These findings were published in the journal PLOS One.

The experience of dating is more rewarding for men than it is for women, according to recent data from Match. The report surveyed more than 5,000 singles between ages 18 and 98 during the last year. A whopping 63% of men said dating helps them be a better version of themselves, but only 46% of women said the same.
