Your Crime Perspective view of Occult related cases?

I am Writing a Research paper of my mayor in Journalism, I don't know much about this but want to ask form a crime** investigative** point of view- How does Occult satanists move around in communities or** societies**? The ones who practice crimes.

What is their reasoning for doing sacrificial crimes and why do we not recognize them around certain places where their activities take place? And why is there not much record of their books or whatever they use to learn this from; after all the word itself means > hidden> ..
