How would you react to French content in the Canada tribe?

I often post French content on the Quebec tribe, but I always hesitate before posting it here as well, even when it concerns the whole country. I've ended up not posting anything in French here out of fear of it being badly received, like on some other sites, despite Canada being an officially bilingual country, at least on the federal level (and on the provincial level in a few provinces, at least de facto).

There are French natives in every province and territory of Canada, but most, if not all of them speak English almost perfectly (but for some in Quebec and maybe a very select few in New Brunswick). There are also many English native Canadians who understand French on various levels.

For the moment, Snapzu doesn't fully (or rather officially) support content in languages other than English, as properly revealed in this discussion ; and it caused an unfortunate Quebecer exodus from Snapzu (temporary I can only hope). Which is very sad considering Snapzu is a Canadian project, its admins being based in Vancouver, BC. If you're interested in the way Snapzu should treat languages other than English all around the site (both snaps, discussions, tribes, users, UI, etc.), I invite you to check the /t/NonEnglish tribe.

With all that being said, let's come back to my initial question : how would you, the members of the /t/Canada tribe, react to French content and comments (in both French and English discussions and snaps) being posted on the tribe?

Well, no one but /u/gremlin replied (thanks Gremlin!), so here's what I'll do : I'll start to include /t/canada in the French snaps that I believe should be of interest to most Canadians and see how these are treated (up/down voted, ignored, commented on). I'll adapt the way I post French snaps here according to how it goes.

As an anglophone Canadian, I would not mind seeing French content here. I will likely just translate it to read it, but a tl;dr in another language (for instance a bilingual poster who prefers French could add an English tl;dr and vise versa) would be extremely convenient if individuals would like to personally do that.

Well, I don't have much time, but you can always PM me about some seemingly interesting article in French for which you'd like an English TL;DR (or rather TF;DR : Too French; Didn't Read) in the comment. ;-)

As an English-only speaker, I personally would find it inconvenient to sort through French and English posts. That being said, since there is no specific French-Canadian tribe, then I suppose it would be fine to post French content here. Maybe if this tribe had a system where we would flag a post as [EN] or [FR], that would be more convenient.

It has been proposed in the /t/nonenglish tribe. And I personally tag all content in languages other than English with the language it is in to make the job of sorting them easier; and eventually, when proper language support is available on Snapzu, we can flag them more easily. I recommended to do the same in the tribes I'm a member of that are more susceptible to post content in other languages as well.
