This Hiroshima bonsai tree, now in the U.S. National Arboretum, survived the atomic bomb in 1945, but its history was only revealed in 2001.

Most of my trees are still growing thicker. I plan on chopping all of these back to stumps in a year or two, and seating them in large pots as I regrow the primary branches or the next thinner stage of the trunk line. Grown in SE Pennsylvania, USDA zone 6B
